"To build young men and women into Christ centred labourers who are willing to be led by the Spirit and have trust in God."
Caring and Unity
Youth fellowship will continue create an environment where young people (from high school to early working members) can grow in their faith and worship God. It will also continue to serve as a community that welcomes new members, both believers and non-believers, into church, in the hope that the fellowship may bring them closer to Christ.
Care within the youth has always been an issue and it took me this year to realise how bad it was. The lack of care is not only directed towards new comers, but is also lacking within close youth members. Having developed "Newcomers Caring Group", we hope that this would be a path to being more aware of people around us and actively caring for those around us. This vision is stemmed from last year's verse in Romans 12:4-8. Upon reflection, the body is seemingly malfunctioning a bit and requires a more attention before broadening our ministries. To add onto the vision, Hebrews 10:24-25 would be the perfect image of the fruits for the end of 2018 as it paints the image of community constantly loving and caring for one another.
To improve on the situation, regular meetings is required to keep track of how everyone is doing. There has been a plan to bring back monthly cakes to celebrate people's birthday's each month. Also the socials have been doing good so we will keep that, as well as the summer outings.
We've retained a lot of the working members of the youth for a long period of time and we believe it's time for them to move on to the working fellowship. This will require some consulting with those members and the leader of working fellowship.
